Sugar Cookies and Peppernuts

There are few things in this world I love more than family and baking. So, without a second thought, a few years ago we started doing a cookie party a few days after Thanksgiving. Everyone is invited and usually we have more people show up for this party than we do for Thanksgiving!

On this particular day it was cold and rainy. Not good for lighting. BOO!

The group immediately jumped in:
 Now THAT's concentration!
 Everyone was just so hardworking.
Jack showed some amazing control with the bag. I'm going to have him help me pipe some more cookies later this month.
 Zoey was focused. And frosting-happy.
Audrey, on the other hand, looooooved sprinkles. She was our sprinkle queen!
Oh did she love those sprinkles!
She loved them just as much as Zoey loved frosting.
The three were really well behaved.
No one really got out of control.
This cutie was confused about the whole thing for the majority of the day.
 Yummmmy cookie!
 Audrey agrees.
Zoey had to get her giggles out of the way first.
 And THEN she could eat!
 See Jack's creation?
 Audrey thought it was hilarious.
 Hugs!
I asked them to hold hands. It turned into a joke-fest.
 Pretty girls...
These jokes were so funny that no one else really understood them.
Who knew knock-knock jokes could be so funny?
 Yummmmmy...more sugar!
Because we all happen to dress them with the same shirts from Aunt Lugene, it was time for a group shot. I love the expressions.
 And...it's ova.
 Look at these big kids!
 Oh what a mess!
Oh what a load of sugar!
 From Jack....
Audrey in the midst of her work.
Zoey helped her out, I think?
Look how good he was at paying attention!
 Audrey's creation.
 Zoey's...art?
The alien cookie. Everyone should have them at Christmas!
 There's my kid!
That mess would be called sugar. We made Peanut Butter Blossoms, and Zoey...helped.
 She helped a lot.
She was really good at making peppernuts with Aunt Pat!

In the end, it was a great time and I can't wait for next year!
