25 Days of Christmas: Days 17 and 18

Saturday was a beautiful day, but the kids just weren't feeling it. They just weren't in the mood for doing much of anything other than screaming at each other.

You know, totally fun stuff.

As a result, we did two days worth of fun on Sunday!

For Day 17, we went Elfing.

Don't know what it is? It's a Christmas version of ding-dong and ditch., AKA ring-and-run. We left goodies representing the four elf food groups in a bag with a poem and ran for the car.

It was a blast!

Here are the finished goodie bags, filled with cashew brittle (syrup), candy cane, candy corn, M&M cookies (candy) and a minty brownie.
 Walter loved the project.
The kids loved helping me decorate everything!
 Oh Walter...
 We would ring...and run!
 Like I said...
Running was by far the best part of the trip.
 Everyone loved it!
 Even Zoey!
Although she was pretty exhausted by the time we got to our 7th house.
Jack did just fine solo though!
 She was proud too.
For being such a great day, I can't complain!

Day 18 was spent watching Christmas lights, and I have to say a few things about a few neighborhoods:

1. YOU HAVE TO GO TO 132nd & ROE. Just do it. It's just amazing. It's a musical light show that lasts about 20 minutes. Just go and see it. You won't be disappointed.

2. The neighborhood at 131st Place and Antioch (it's easiest reached when coming from 119th street) has really stepped it up this year!
