Confession: Time Management

I'm so screwed when the kids learn how to tell time.

Until then..."5" more minutes can mean....2 minutes. Or 20.

It's the power of being the Mommy.

The journey of Zoey's hair

Zoey's hair started of pretty normal:

Dark. Baby fine. Of course, like more babies, she lost it all.

However, when turned one she looked normal. Yet again - normal.

Then it all fell out. Yes - we cut her hair in April of 2009, and it wasn't that short. The length was purely her new hair that grew in and pushed the other hair out.

And three years since she had that dark brown hair, we have a blonde and curly-haired daughter.

This isn't new to most people, but I'm still amazed at the transition. What is in store for us next?

My Wittle Girl

...Isn't so little anymore.

Grandma Kaki likes to call Zoey her "Little Darlin'."

This weekend Zoey informed her that she was Kaki's "Big Darlin'" now.

Question: When did my baby grow up? (Fact: the picture above of Zoey in purple was taken 2 years before the first picture of her in green - to the day even!)

Jackson - circa 2007 with the same cowlick he has now

I was okay when Jack started to grow up. For some reason, it's okay when it's him - he's always ready to take on the world. Plus he gives me more cuddles now than he ever did as a toddler.

I was also okay when Zoey took on "bigger kid" roles like mastering potty training or telling me when she was ready for bed.

But now?

Where did my baby go?

Try To Stay Warm

I keep trying to remind myself that warmer temperatures will be here before we know. Unfortunately right now, I'm freezing my toes off.

The -10 degree-low tonight is going to be just too much fun. I'm sure when it feels like 120 out there in a few short months, I'm going to remembering tonight's weather and enjoying the thought of being cold.
