Taking a dip in the pool

Our computer is back! YAY!

I get to post more photos! YAY!

As you may have guessed, we have pool in our backyard. Shocking, I know. Amazingly enough, we have actually enjoyed our pool in July despite the lack of super hot weather.

I think it's a sacrifice we all can make.

The kids LOVE the pool:

It's so clear! And cool! And refreshing!

Here's Zoey chillin' after swimming with some bubbles.

And...back in the pool. What can I say? Use it while you have it!

Ah, Jack's "fort"

This leads me to my next reminder...POOL PARTY! OUR HOUSE! NEXT SATURDAY @ 4:30!! Bring a side dish/dessert, swimming suit and appetite for having fun!

That's right - we're in a time out for now.

So...last night I took the kids to have dinner with Trav. Awesome. Came home and played outside. Groovy. When we came inside, the kids snacked on some Popsicles while I uploaded some new pictures from my new camera. They looked pretty good!

And I would show you those photos...had the computer not decided to freeze.

This event in itself is not the bad part. Our computer freezes on a regular basis. It was the restart that killed us.

Our computer won't boot up.

So...until we get the computer fixed...guess what?! No pictures on the blog until the computer gets fixed.

No internet after work until the computer gets fixed too.

Pardon me while I go curl into the fetal position in the corner.

Deana Rose

A few weekends ago, Trav was feeling yucky. The mono was in full force. So what did I do?

I took the kids to Deana Rose.

What is Deana Rose? Why, it's a fun, FREE park/zoo in Overland Park (something like Roe and 135th) and a total blast!

Unfortunately for us, it was also super hot and super humid.

We saw long horns.

And pretty flowers!

And dragonflies!

And roosters!

Here's our very own sad butterfly.

And our happy flower (still Jack).

We fed plenty of goats...

And smiled at the camera!

And fed HUGE goats!

Here's a Native American dwelling.

Pretty impressive really.

The Windmill - symbol of Kansas prairies.

By the time we headed home, we were ALL hot.

But we were able to stop in an 1800s school house and cool off a bit too!

The end.

July Birthdays

Okay, so I'm tired. My head is throbbing, my kids are almost in a constant state of bickering and whining and it's time for bed.

Enjoy the pictures.

Here's the setup: we're at my in-laws house celebrating the summer birthdays (I have a habit of referring to them as JULY birthdays. That is wrong. I won't probably think to change it, so just go with me).

Zoey was able to walk on her hands. WOW!!
