An interesting Friday

Well, Friday I decided to finally dust off my camera and snap some pictures of the kiddos playing together. Surprisingly, it went well. I DO have some pictures of them being cute in the bathtub, but there is some nudity involved so I will refrain from posting them here.

A rare moment of them playing together

Interesting choice of playing method, Jackson. Personally, I would I have used the reach and pull method.

Pigs can be pilots?!

Oh my gosh - really!?

Yes, I know that the picture is blurry. But how can NOT want to take a picture of such a cute face?

We loooooove playing together!

HA HA! (you know that he was laughing REALLY hard, right?)

Mmmm. Socks.

Interesting. It says here...

And...this is why you don't see many pictures of Jack.

Who knew a 7 month old could pose so well!

Shh...I've got a secret...

Did you see that?

Oooo. So THAT'S how it works!

And yes, I do have some more videos to upload. Just...not today.

Want to know what happened last night?

8:00 - gave both kids a bath.
8:30 - Zoey asleep
9:00 - Jacksin in bed
9:30 - Trav comes home
10:30 - Trav goes to bed, I make blueberry muffins so that he can have a nice breakfast
11:15 - Zoey wakes up, screaming for more food
11:30 - Zoey's been fed but still isn't ready to sleep. Jack starts screaming. I head in there and plop on the bed, only to land in something wet and chunky. He's thrown up all over the bed. I give him a bath while Trav changes the sheets and starts a load of laundry. (Food poisoning from imitation crab at Hen House)
12:30 - Jackson finally asleep
1:00 - I took a shower and was FINALLY asleep by 1.
1:30 - Woke up because I forgot to put my poison ivy creame on. I get it and put it on, but I'm not patient enough. Pretty much writhe in agony over the pain of the itchiness. Seriously uncool.
2:30 - Finally back asleep
6:30 - Trav's alarm goes off
7:00 - Trav leaves, Jack wakes up.
7:30 - Zoey wakes up, Jack demands to get out his room.

Basically: I'm exhausted. I can't wait until naptime!

Why, you ask?

Well, here's what you can be looking forward to:

- Pictures from Friday night (bathtime!)
- Further demolishion of the yard
- The Poison Ivy saga
- Zoey is getting closer to crawling; still no teeth though

It's been a long, busy week so that's it for tonight!

P.S. MY PARENTS SOLD THEIR HOUSE AND BOUGHT ANOTHER ONE!!

Phase 1, Day 2 = Ouch (cont)

Yikes. What a busy weekend!

Yesterday we started what seemed like a weekend project of tearing out vines. The pictures below are from about May of 2007. I forgot to take a picture of them before we demolished, but let's just say it was a full row of viney crap.

Phase 1: Demolition
Day 1: Saturday, April 19
This is how we left it yesterday. Can we say...different? Painful?

Phase 1, Day 2: Sunday, April 20
Slightly more deconstrution, but mainly cleaning up the dead stuff that had been pulled out earlier. We found out that there were two beams that were placed vertically under about 4 inches of dirt that went about 3 feet in. Those were fairly light beams at about 40 pounds.

After yet another grueling day of hard labor, what did we do?
We went for a walk of course!

We have a walking trail that goes near our house, and about 1.5-2 miles away is a rugby field. We thought it was a perfect day to fly a kite, but the wind died down about halfway there.
Once we reached our destination, Jack was anxious to get out:

And the kite DID get airborn...just not for long.

So we gave Jack a try...

And where was Zoey during all this excitement?
That's right, asleep and dead to the world.

Needless to say, we're all exhausted. This isn't my best post in the world, but it'll have to do. Angi = tired.

Oh and if anyone wants some free food next weekend, come on down! ;-)

What an exhausting day!

OY!

It's been one of THOSE days.

We started out with a small goal in mind - to declutter out garden fence. This is what it ended up being:

Don't know what I'm talking about? Check back tomorrow for more pictures. That is, if we survive the night with all the aches and pains we are having!

Grandma Suzie was kind enough to come over to help watch the kids. As you can tell, they had fun:

Now, after working from 10:00 am - 2:30 pm, we were exhausted. After ersting up a bit, we ended up chugging to a local arcade, called PowerPlay. It had a 'Kid Zone' that was nearly perfect for Jack:

And for the pictures:

(Yes, Trav eventually had to crawl up to lead Jack to the proper tunnel to read the slide)
After working up a nice sweat, we trekked to Grandma Suzie's house to see Papa Don. As you can tell, much fun was had there as well!

And now...I am worn out. It's time for bed and possibly a massage. Maybe. Not sure yet.

Tune in tomorrow!
